日本の新鋭ブランド、UITUのジーンズ
ヴィンテージデニムの解釈とは少し異なるアプローチで仕立てられた一本。
クリーンでありながらカジュアル。性別や年齢、体型を問わずに取り入れやすいよう、全体にゆとりを持たせたワイドストレートシルエットです。タイトな締め付けがない分、日常に自然と馴染み、つい手に取りたくなるようなイージーさを備えています。
生地には1950年代のセルヴィッチデニムを再現した11オンスの素材を採用。軽やかさがありながらも、シルエットのボリューム感と絶妙に調和します。カラーはリジットとフェードの2色。リベットとトップボタンはシルバーで統一し、ライトグレーのステッチワークでUITUらしいコンセプトカラーを表現。従来のワークウェア的なジーンズの印象とは一線を画す、洗練された佇まいです。
リジットは端正な印象を纏い、フェードは岡山の加工工場で一本ずつ丁寧に仕上げられています。あえてヒゲなどの派手な加工は施さず、ブラストや細やかなダメージによって立体感を演出。新品でありながら、長年穿き込んだような奥行きを感じられる仕上がりです。
クリーンでありつつ、デニム特有の毛羽立ちがもたらすカジュアルさも同居する。新しさと古さが交差する一本に仕上がっています。
UITU Jeans
A pair crafted with a perspective distinct from traditional vintage denim.
Clean yet casual, designed with a wide straight silhouette that offers ease and comfort across genders, ages, and body types. Without the tightness of a slim fit, it carries an effortless quality that makes you want to wear it every day.
The fabric is an 11oz reproduction of 1950s selvedge denim—lighter than the typical 14oz, striking a perfect balance with the volume of the silhouette. Available in two colors: rigid and faded. Silver hardware and light gray stitching embody UITU’s concept color, presenting a refined look that separates it from the workwear image of classic jeans.
The rigid style brings a sharp, composed impression, while the faded version is finished one by one by skilled artisans in Okayama. Instead of bold whiskering or heavy distressing, subtle damage and delicate blasting techniques add depth, resulting in a plain yet dimensional surface. It delivers the character of years of wear, right from the start.
Clean in its overall impression, yet carrying the casual warmth of denim’s natural texture—this piece exists at the intersection of the old and the new.

日本国内のモノづくりで培った考え方を活かして、テキスタイル、縫製、加工に拘り、着た人によって、それぞれ着方や唯一の風合いに仕上がるデイリーウェアを追求していきます。
性別や体型、年齢の違いは人それぞれ。デニムのように時間を重ねる事で変化する表情は、その人にあった形に姿を変えていくと考えています。
外見の過剰なデザインは避け、デイリーユースしやすいアイテムたち。テキスタイルや縫製仕様などの細部にこだわり、経年変化を見越したデザインをしています。
UITUは着用者と一緒に記憶を共にし、旅する服を生み出していきます。

After leaving his position as a designer for an apparel manufacturer that mainly produces denim and military wear, UITU launch the unisex brand in 2024.
Utilizing the ideas he has cultivated through his work in manufacturing in Japan, he will pursue daily wear that is tailored to each wearer, with a focus on textiles, sewing, and processing, and that has a unique texture and style.
Everyone has their own gender, body type, and age. Like denim, the way the look changes over time will transform into a shape that suits each person.
UITU will create clothes that share memories and travel with the wearer.
DESIGNER
KOTARO URATA
Originally from Kumamoto Prefecture. Won multiple awards in domestic contests while attending vocational school. After graduating, he worked as a men's designer for an apparel brand that focused on denim and military wear.
In 2023, he launched the dog wear brand "SIGNETONES", and in 2024, the unisex brand "UITU".
He is committed to using textiles, sewing, and processing cultivated through domestic production, and develops designs that emphasize "functionality", "practicality", and "the story after wearing".
